Second set walked in snow to my A$$ :-/ that was soft because of the thaw and made my way to a scubby ridge edge. The ridge drop was like a normal hill and setup right on top. The wind blowing right over the edge straight over and out to a field in the bottom of it. I sat on the top facing down wind and watching the field edge on top.

Started with a Kitten distress quiet for about a 2 mintes paused and watched for 3 minutes, then opened up the kitten distress louder for another minute and pause for 5 minutes. Changed to the jack rabbit distress starting off at 25 Volume and then up to 38 vol. as its louder and seems to carry ran it for 2 minutes on loud and then lowered the volume back to 25 for another minute and Pause.

As I'm watching the field below I catch moving to my right and right along the edge comes a loffing Yote right to me. I ready myself and let it come and when it gets to about 60 yards I give a couple barks on the mouth call and it stops.

Bang goes the 270WSM and the yote runs towards the brush and over the edge and disappears. I give the Pup distress but that was it, no more movement so I get up and head over to see if I missed or what

Nope ! got it ;D

Sounds like a great hunt buddy good work ;) Just curious what ammo you using? Pelt damage? Looks pretty nice from the pic but maybe the other side is different :D

Thanks guys for the kind comments. The bullets I'm using are the Winchester 150 GN Silver Ballistic tip. The damage is not bad at all. yes a small sow job about the size of a gulf ball...

All these bloody coyote threads make me jealous ... wolves here are a pain to catch with the wide open terrain ... wish we had us some yotes ... congrats on your successful hunting OP!
