Another Mauser question

I have a Syrian Mauser, my understanding is that a 48 yugo stock will fit this?
The regular KAR98 stock is about a 1/4" too short.
So I have been to the Boyds site but they are not able to ship to Canada yet.
So is there a place can get a nice sporter stock in Canada?

Also The barrel is a shooter but I hate the stepped barrel, is it possible to have this machined off? If so what would the cost involved be?

When did Boyds lose the shipping to Canada?

You can get stocks from Brownell's they are not bad and a good price
