i cowboy shoot and will probably go thru ~3000 rnds of .45 colt per yr
i would also like to reload for my .308 and am looking at at .300 win mag
probably 100 rnds for each rifle/yr

i have been looking at the Lee 4-hole turret & the Dillon 550

i don't want to buy something & then upgrade in a year or 2
this purchase is for the long term

i am going skiing in Vermont in Jan, so i may be able to pick something up in the US, if i can find an outlet (if our $$ is still up)

so i need advice on what i should get based on my shooting/yr

also a ballpark figure of what it will cost for a complete setup would be nice
i know Lee has some starter kits with most of the bits included
what accessories do i really need & what would be nice to have?

Instead of the Lee 4 hole turret, get the Loadmaster Kit for your 45. They are about US $200. And get a single stage for your rifle calibers.

I think your going to want the progressive for the 45. Sure the Lee equipment works and it is more affordable but if you don't want to upgrade in the future you'd be better off buying something a bit better. It's like comparing a Cavalier to a Cadillac. Unfortunately the price can be equally comparable. There is a good comparison on this site where a guy did a review of the Dillon, the Hornady, and the Lee progressives. See dillon / lee / hornady progressive comparison. It is at this link.

after reading as much as i can find, i think i would like the Hornady LNL AP
it doesn't seem to be any cheaper than the Dillon tho?
i can't find anyone around here that carries it (eastern Ontario)
is there a good place in Canada, or just buy over the internet from the US?

I would order it from www.lockstock.com as they are about $200 cheaper than what I have seen around at wholesalesports. I am not sure where you can get the case feeder except from Hornady directly. I don't know where to get the bullet feeder from either but read somewhere, probably on here, that it is around $800. If you find any details out please post. Thanks!
