Another noob

Hi all,

Just a short post to introduce myself.
New to firearms, except when I was a kid and shot my old man's 30-30 and .410 shotgun.
Born and bred in British Columbia, and can count the number of times I've been out of the province on my fingers.
Have decided to adopt the "ask questions, and listen lots" approach here.
Apologies in advance for noob and ID 10 T (idiot) questions that will be coming.

Cheers
Dave

No worries, welcome aboard and ask away. Don't let the "less than favourable" replies you may receive to your postings get to you. You can learn a lot here, but you'll need a thick skin as some folks believe you must first be chastised and ridiculed before an answer to a simple question can be given. Hang in there and enjoy.

Welcome Dave, Nice to see a fellow BC'er. What sort of shooting are you doing? Where abouts are you in God's country?

Obtunded,

I'm in Kamloops.
Just got the PAL in the mail 2 days ago, and haven't purchased yet.
I'm looking at a Mossberg 500, a Remington 870 and a Marlin 1895 Guide
45-70.
Not sure which one to get yet. Am going to the gun store tomorrow to
"hold" them :)
Agree about God's country though...hehe....
No offense to other Canucks, but I'm a born and bred British Columbian.
Love the Canucks and the Lions...:D

TPK,

My skin is pretty thick, and I come in with the humble knowledge that I
am entering into an area where I know next to nothing. I am, however
a quick study and have adopted the attitude of listening (and reading) lots
and speaking little. Best way to learn I think.

Cheers.
