Another PAL question

Hi everyone. This'll be my first post here, and I have some questions about PAL requirements. I took the Firearm Safety Course back in 2003 (I think thats when it was...) and have been hunting with my father since then. I turned 18 this past spring, so I can now get my PAL. I'm looking to get a range membership at the Saskatoon Wildlife Federation to do some shooting, and I'm wondering if I can even do so before I have my PAL. I wasn't too worried about getting one because I didn't think I needed it if I was using someone else's firearms. After doing some reading now though, it appears I need a PAL just to use a gun?

Also, since I have taken and passed the FSC, do I need to do anything else to get the PAL, or do I just fill out an application and wait.

Thanks for any help you can give me regarding my questions, it is really appreciated.

Jason

As far as I know, most ranges will allow non licenced people shoot, as long as they are under the DIRECT SUPERVISION of a licenced club member.

Thats what I figure, but I would like to be able to go to the range by myself and shoot. Its a small bore outdoor range thats only a ten minute drive from my house.
