Another pistol or maybe a rifle this time?

Can't make up my mind about this.

of course, "Both" is the right answer :p but can't take the impact on the wallet.

got a GSG 1911, Norc NP29.. was gonna get GP6 or Ruger Mk III but now i'm thinking something along the lines of 10/22 or Marlin 795, 70PSS or something..

or maybe Walther SP22 or Beretta Neos.. damn, i want all of them.

this sucks.

Well, if you're going to get a Ruger MK pistol, don't waste your mony on a MKIII. Unless the button magazine release is absolutely necessary, get yourself a nice used MKII. The distinct absence of lawyerist BS safety crap is well worth the money you save and the lack of a button release. That's my .02at least.

None of the safety add-ons have affected my Mark III, admittedly though I did remove the mag safety because it kept some of my mags from dropping free.

Had some feeding issues in the first 500 or so, but that seems to have been a mag issue, since resolved. Ran 1000 through it over the last couple of weeks with no FTF or FTE at all (but it is cleaned after every session), quite reliable. Been shooting mainly American Eagles through it.

Don't get me wrong, all MK pistols are great and run very reliably. I just rail against the MKIII on principal. The arbitrary additions add no extra value and are simply more parts to malfunction, plus I despise any internal locking mechanism.

Those 10/22s are too much fun!

Geez we haven't talked you into a MK series after that? Guess I'm not getting my commission :)

lol, well, the only Mark III i can handle is 22/45 .. hate the grips on the other ones.
love how it shoots, but not particularly love it.

thanks for the inputs. :D

by the way... just throwing some ideas out there..

would it be better to buy something like Savage Mk2's and something else instead of just 1 Ruger 10/22 target ? more is better, isn't it?

Bah! Luger grip all the way!
I see your point though ;)

Get the Savage. Bolts will give you better accuracy and range. They not quite as diverse as the 10/22 is, but they still have some fun quirks. The savage TRR-SR is a very (tacti)cool rifle that looks like lots of fun to shoot.

i actually handled that rifle at Shooting edge the other day. ..(or was it 64? can't recall now). I really liked the look and feel of it. and price is right.

.. . i tried ordering 10/22 target with laminate stock from one of the big box stores, and none of them had it in stock with backorders to infinity...

still it's hard to make up my mind, when what i really want is all of them..
