Another question about range memberships and restricted purchases

First off, thank you to everyone who had input to my earlier thread. Sorry for posting another so soon but I don't want to waste peoples time in the EE.

I was recently unable to purchase a restricted from a dealer because I didn't yet have my range card/membership number. Today, I picked up my range card and it doesn't have a membership number. The range is part of a fish and game club and the card just has my name on it. No number. Can I buy a restricted on the EE by scanning and emailing my range card to the seller?
I was told that that's how I have to do it, but not whether or not that works for private sales, dealers, or both.

Is this unusual?
Will it piss off EE sellers?

Thanks in advance.

No Seller, whether a private party or a licensed firearms dealer, needs to see your proof of membership (to a club or range). You do not have to provide any such thing to a Seller.

If you are buying a restricted firearm from a licensed firearms dealer, the dealer may ask you for the NAME of an approved shooting club of which you are a member and the PURPOSE for which you are acquiring the firearm(s); this is primarily to expedite the transfer. If you provide it to them, they will provide it to the CFP, and - if everything is in order - the transfer may proceed without any necessity of you speaking with your CFO.

If you deign not to provide that information to them, they will not provide it to the CFP (and, as a direct consequence), you will then necessarily have to have that conversation with the CFO's office yourself.
