so long story short, i was given a gift card to the local outdoor / gun store for xmas. My initial thought was bullets / powder etc, but 1)those monopoly price tags$$$$ 2) few weeks later those are gone and the gift is forgotten about, so i figured reloading tools! problem being IMO im pretty set up.. rcbs and forester co-ax press, redding case trimmer, K&M neck and primer pocket prep tools, rcbs chargemaster x2 , redding comp or match die sets for all rifle calibers , various bullet pullers, rcbs powder thrower, beam scale, vibratory and ultrasonic cleaners, concentricity gauge, case annealer, OAL and headspace gauges...

so now i come to the hive mind, what commercially available tool(s) should i be looking at getting? or am i basically out of luck and should be looking at a new knife or hunting pack? haha

thanks! hope every one had a merry christmas and has a great new year

Just bought RCBS Chargemaster Lite (max 300 grains powder).
Should take some of the repetition and time out of the loading cycle.
I needed this.

every firearm enthusiast isn't complete until they own a bore scope. Lyman is selling one which is actually pretty decent for 400 bucks.

Nice "problem" to have.

Do you already have a chronograph?
Not reloading but closely related.

A wet tumbler setup

A progressive press in pistol caliber

Bullet molds and bottom pour pot to add a whole other hobby to it :)

Yes , magnetospeed v3.

No wet tumbler , but do i really need one with dry and ultrasonic......

Yes to the progressive

And unfortunately at this point no firearms that shoot cast .. but a 45-70 is on the list for end of 2019 ..

The nice part about the Chargemaster, is that you can seat a bullet while waiting for the next powder charge.

Agreed , but depending on what cartridge your loading seating a bullet is much faster then the powder dispenses . Especially when it gets to the trickle stage , I've got 2 , 1500 series , and still find my self occasionally waiting for 1 to finish after I've seated a bullet . I'm tempted to buy a 3rd haha . Maybe that wait doesnt bother some guys but as much as I enjoy reloading , spending 10 minutes (just a number) just waiting for powder ads up

Since its found money, you could always build on your supply of brass. You'll never hear anyone complain about having too much brass. Someone gave me a 5 gallon pail of once fired 38 Special brass and I had to go out and buy a couple of 38's so as not to waste it

I do have a case prep center. The rcbs model , which I hardly use as I prefer using my KM hand tools for primer pocket and neck prep .

The problem with components at the store is the monopoly pricing .... compared to online - bullets are 50% more, powder can be close.to double, brass Winchester is almost as.much as Lapua from our sponsors..

I had the RCBS case prep center and trim pro,it was a PITA.
So I got the Frankfort arsenal, it’s better, but my next one will be the Gracy.
