I made some changes...like the factory brake...Changed to a NEAR..much better. Base is an EGW 25min. Rifle shoots great...Load indicated was actually 96gr of H1000.
Took a moose at 468M. Looked like it had been hit with Thor's Hammer.

That looks pretty good Rico! If you are ever on the island you should come out with us to the clearcuts and bring that stick. There's lots of room for you to test it's legs.

Nice Rig! I like your choice of brake and running your group through "On Target" I get just over .3 That is damned respectable from a factory pipe.

I only wish I could have laid my hands on one before they were cut-off.

Thanks fella's..the brake from NEAR really is the ticket. It's modeled after the Sako-Tikka brake, but has been improved apon. You can't get away from the noise, thats a given, in these big magnums..they are noisy...but by simply changing the brake it went from workable, to comfortable, easy to shoot. Because these Rem's dont have the weight to soak up the recoil, a good brake is really important.
