Considering how well the Special Order of Ruger #1 303's went, I wonder how much interest there would be in getting Clay to put together the following Special Orders (BTW, Cabela's did special order runs of just 100 rifles for their 30-40 Krag, so we wouldn't need to get 250+ orders like for the 303).

Anyway, considering how the Ruger #1 rifle is the only reasonably affordable alternative to an original Farquharson-actioned rifle & given the historically significant calibers for Africa & India it has been chambered in recently, such as the 375 Belted Rimless Magnum N.E., 450/400 3 1/4" N.E., 450 3 1/4" N.E., 300 Belted Rimless N.E., 275 Rigby (only the Texas Safari Club got that one, although the recently discontinued 7x57 Mauser was/is the same thing), how about one chambered for the old 256 Mannlicher. No, NOT the 6.5x54 later rimless cartridge, but the original, the 6.5x53R version, that was offered by a lot of the British gunmakers on both the Fahrquharson as well as various repeating rifles.

For second choice, or how about both, how about one in .357 Magnum, for a nice light rook rifle.

Are there enough people out here in CGN land who appreciate the old calibers to get this rolling?

I'd be in for something "different" as long as brass was some what obtainable . have no idea on that 6.5. I like something on the smaller end this time.
Thanks
Clint
