The guy on the left has one yes. But note the wood and barrel differences on the other rifle. Maybe it's just the angle...An m1 Garand
The missing stacking swivel was what originally attracted my attention. It's missing in the original B&W picture as well. But no doubt these fell off, were knocked off. Not something you'd use much in combat!M-1. Garand. Missing its piling swivel? Maybe something happened when the photo was colorized.

Which were never issued during WWII and really didn't exist outside of testing. Until the 60s when a civilian company started shortening existing Garands and calling them "tanker Garands"M1 Garand tanker.
