Challenge , Anschutz 1710 & Cooper 57m magazine
releases are short and difficult to action .

Are there any OEM (stock) magazine release extensions
available ?

any assistance is appreciated...

Unless speed is required it appears to be a safety feature so that accidentally droppin the mag is avoided.

I have asked previously without success.

CZ is somewhat similar and there is an aftermarket DIP release that extends it only slightly but a huge improvement.

As with my Remington 700's I have never lost a magazine!

I have this in several 1710's - It's a bit long but makes releasing a magazine a breeze!

Cooper will take the same lever but I couldn't bring myself to fit one on my 57M Custom Classic!

Allan , installing one on your Custom Classic would be blasphemy , I have an LVT which is bad enough just that
I don't have the thumb/fingers to operate the release well .

Thnkz for the part info... skwerl

Actually they wouldn't look that out of place
beside a 10 shot mag.

Something about a quarter inch longer would help. That long release looks like it needs surgery.

The extended long mag release was primarily a byproduct of biathlon rifle design as the stock standing grip would be guarding the long mag release and where a short mag release would have been a pain to access with the grip in the way.

Anschütz simply has the same mag system for the 1710 as it does on the 1827/1827F. On a 1710 with a flatter stock, you could say it works but it looks weird, esp with 5 rounder. With a 10 rounder, less so. However, in the case of the latter, a short release isn't necessarily terrible if pinch the mag with the fingers and thumb the release
