I got an Anschutz barrel and action from my father and don't know anything about it. Its stamped J.G. Anschutz G m b H Waffenfabrik UIm/D. Germany on the barrel, and an SS style eagle with an N in its talons.
Can anyone tell me if their any good? or worth restoring? or any Info. would be great.
I'll post photos soon.

sounds just like one I have , I;ll have to see pics though, if it is it is a really nice smooth action. and I have never shot a 22lr that groups as well as this one. does it look like this?

I think you need to soak that sucker in G96 pronto.

You've got a neat firearm there that's a piece of history. I'd look after it.

Sorry I'm not sure which model it is.

Does the extractor fall out if the action is upside down?
If it does, I think I have one.
Mine shoots very well, easily bouncing pop cans at 100 yds. KD

Eagle and N

The eagle means the German " Beschussamt " further each manufacturer of Firearms has to send each Gun to the "Beschussamt" this is an government testing facility to proof each gun of its stability / firmness.
-Proof of the chamber ( moderate the maesurements )
-Proof of strength ( they shoot at there a 30% higher Powder load through the gun )

The N means
- Nitro Powder

eagle and N together with two numer means when, on which year the gun was at the " beschussamt".

I would say this gun isnt worth to restore anymore. You guys can purchase better ones through the german website egun. There are a couple dealer who send the guns to Canada.
How to do this ?

- Buy the Gun from a Dealer which is willing to send it to canada
- Ask in Canada for international import Certificate ( Foreign Affairs website )
- Verify the Gun through the 1-800 .......Number
- Register the Gun through the 1-800......Number
- Take your Paperwork after you received them and send the Paper ( Import Certificate and Registration certificate ) to the German Dealer through Canada mail costs 1.75 $.
- The German Dealer will apply for an export Certificate ( costs 30 Euro ) and send the Gun togeteher with Overnite express ( lasts 5-6 days ) costs round about 50-100 Euro ( depends how much weight and how much guns in the Package )
Canada Custums will ask through Canada mail for duty and the Gun (s) arriving in front of your door.
Easy going takes only time.

Would anyone know were I could get a stock for this? this .22 is in my closet and it breaks my hart to see it naked every time I go in the closet.
