I recently acquired a very nice Anschutz CIL Models: 300. Very pleased to say the least!
Anyway it came with only one 10 round mag. Which is just not enough.
There are new 10 round mags for $89.95 each + tax, shipping available.
That's a lot of coin for one mag!

I did some searching and read by removing a small side tab...maybe a bit of filing.
I could get a Mossberg 702 Plinkster Magazine .22 LR 10 Rounds to fit.($32.00 +)
Anyone with a Anschutz CIL Models: 300, 470, 520, 525 SA.22 use one of these?

HI,
I haven't heard of using this one but would be very interested in hearing about your success or ... not... You might also consider checking out some of the auctions etc as the CIL 300/470 (Anschutz 520) was a Marocchi made product. Their model number for the rifle was SM64.

Please post something if you try it!

Rob

Actually just received these yesterday.
Did a little fitting, filing and it seems to attach easily.
I used some Permatex® Prussian Blue on the new Mossberg Mag, installed it about 20x.
It's still just a wee bit tighter than the OEM with some high spot.
But I want to go put some rounds in it first to see if it will cycle
later today.

I put 50 rounds through to the Mossberg 702 Mag this morning...didn't miss a beat.
It does take a little filing.
Although the pic shows the Moss mag on the right having the same length.
I did have to take down some high spot on the back of the first one I did.
Once it fits into the receiver you can put a little black magic marker on it to see the high point and maybe file a bit more.

Here's the first one after I put some Birchwood SuperBlue on it.

I'd say maybe a one beer job per mag. Maybe two if you're going to blue it too.
I figure just saved myself about $120 before tax over buying the OEM Anschutz ones.
Hope this helps !

were would i buy an OEM Anschutz for the 300?

thanks

Perhaps a gun parts dealer might have them.

An alternative candidate is the Anschutz 525-U8 magazine available at Nordic Marksman, but it requires modification to fit the Anschutz 300, a rifle which, as noted above, is not actually made by Anschutz.

It may be that the OP's solution is the most affordable.

Note this information from the webpage before ordering this magazine for an Anschutz 300:

This is the Anschutz 10 round .22LR magazine for the Anschutz 525 semi-auto (525-U8 001155) which also fits the earlier CIL 470 & Anschutz 522 and late production Anschutz 520* models.

*This magazine will not fit early CIL 300 or 520 models without modification:
Anschutz added a stop lug pressed out from the right side of the magazine in late production 520s and following 525 models, there is a matching notch cut into the receiver to accommodate this. Earlier CIL300 or 520 models without the receiver lug notch will not allow the current version of the magazine to be fitted, unless the magazines is adapted (removing or flattening the lug).
