New to forum just posted my introduction. I am getting into rimfire rifles and am looking at a used CIL Anschutz 310 in very good condition.
Price is 3 hun so I am looking for anyones 2 bits as to value reliability and accuracy of this rifle.
Any and all comments appreciated.

Don't look too long, buy it if it's in good condition. Mine is from the mid 70's and operates great. Shoots as good as my 190 series Annies. No ejection problems like some of the newer versions spoken of. Needs good glass to make use of the full potential of the accuracy.

$300 for a very good condition 310 is a good deal.

As to value, reliability and accuracy, mine has the sweetest trigger I have sampled on a field rifle and will shoot with many target rifles. They are a great rimfire rifle for all around use.

Where do you guys find these, I have been looking around for a while and never found any of the old Anschutz for cheap.

Extremely accurate and well balanced gun. Last time I used it I shot a chicken in the head offhand at 50 yards.

The only thing I don't like is sometimes it's a ##### getting the bolt back in because you have to pull the cocking mechanism back and to the right to recock it or else it won't go back in!

Still prefer my Brno #1's to the Anschutz CIL 310. Much better bolt's and at least as accurate too!

Picked Anschutz up today and am very happy with it. Great older gun with a classic look.

Luckyd I found this one at Reliable in Vancouver. I just kept checking their price list on the web site, found it and went in and had a look. Thought is was a nice little gun, offered them 3 hun and now I'm the proud owner.:dancingbanana:

Great little shop I will buy from them again.

Now to find a place to shoot it!

Any suggestions on the Lower Mainland? Any ranges have a drop in fee?

Congrats on the purchase. Pics??? Classic schnabel forend ? Bought a Buckmark sporter rifle from them before xmas, seem like good folks to deal with.

I paid $329 for mine from epps.

Here it is with a Woodchucker.

Ok guys here's the pics I promised. Sorry about the quality they were done with my phone.
From numbers I have found it looks like she is from 1969.
She's seen some sunlight as you can tell the left side is much lighter than the right, just another reason to redo the stock. That scope is an old Weaver C4 that probably came with the rifle when it was purchased as I believe they are the same vintage. I'm gonna give it a try first before I replace it, optics are clear and I like the retro look.

One thing I have noticed that I find strange is if you are to fast to cycle the action sometimes the bolt does not ####. This does not happen all the time and if you are slow when sliding the bold down to lock it does not happen. From what I have found so far it it could be the sear adjustment?
Any ideas and is this a deal breaker as I do have a limited warranty?

I have the same rifle with the same scope that I am in the process of fixing up. Missing some action screws and so on...

Nice gun.

There is a number of places. I will let you know who I end up going with when I pull the trigger. The CIL 310 is the same as an Anschutz 1416 for parts for when you are looking....so i have been told.

Sounds silly but check for loose screws. I had a simular problem 15 years ago with mine took it to a gunsmith, he had it for 3 months before he figured out it was just a loose screw. I guess it took him a while to get around to working on it. I was 14 or 15 at the time and I am away from the gun right now so I can't say which one to tighten.

Congrads on the purchase. It is an accurate gun!!
