Like the Anschutz 520 and 525 and the CIL Anschutz 300 and 470, the MSR was not made by Anschutz. The MSR was developed by Anschutz, German Sport Guns (GSG), and ESC Ulm, a subsidiary of ISSC, an Austrian firm. ESC designed the firearm, Anschutz supplied some parts -- the barrel and trigger, I believe -- and GSG assembled it. This semi auto did not compete well with other similar guns which have more aftermarket parts availability.
