I bought an Anschutz Mod. 64 and would like to put a Sightron 8-32x56 on it. ( over kill but I have it )
My problem is getting the scope high enough so it doesn't touch the barrel.
I would like to hear from someone who has done it, so I don't buy and try things that won't work.
This is a great where else can you get all this info.
Thanks Ron

I have Sports Match high rings with my Sightron SIII 8-32 on my Anschutz. The OD of the objective of the scope is 2.56" (65mm). The height of the rings to the bottom of the scope tube is 21mm; add the 15mm for the scope tube and you have 36mm. Half of 65 is 32.5mm, giving a nominal 3.5mm clearance, with probably a wee bit more.

Alternatively, you can get BKL rings, which are very good. I used them on a SIII 10-50x60.

RECKNAGEL rings will give you the proper clearance. I bought mine from Martini Gun makers. Not cheap but they are worth the cash. All steel construction, and true... plus no 'riser bs' required

I have BKL on my MPR with a vortex HST with a 50th bell. Lot's of clearance, I could easily mount the sightron with the larger bell

How are you mounting the scope now? A scope like that needs a good 20-30 moa rail on it, and adding that will get it high enough that any high ring should work fine. Plus, a rail will take you out to 300 yards and beyond.

On my MPR-64 I have a 20moa rail made to fit the anschutz dovetail with picatini on top, and NF ultralite rings 1.265" height(anything of similar height should work fine), sightron 10-50x60, enough room left between it and the barrel.
All from Hirsch precision, not sure if they still have these same rails in stock though.
