Anschuz 1517 short barrel...how did this one get past me?

Anyone else see these things? Thoughts?

Wonder what velocity is lost on with the shorter barrel on HMRs..? Googled one dealer in Europe selling for 819 Euros~a whopping $1,155 Canadian. Suddenly, the Savage HMR is looking good again. Whew!...brief distraction.

I have seen several sets of dyno tests that indicate max velocity for standard and high velocity .22LR (not hyper velocity like Stingers) is achieved between 12"-16" of barrel length, so a 14" barrel will give up nothing to longer barrels.

Beautiful, very very very accurate for a sporter. You will likely see comp barrels shorten to 8 inches in time
