Anshutz 1517 17 hmr

I'm really interested in buying one of these, price is very high but I'm tired of shooting Savage rimfires. Are all them exceptionally accurate? Im looking at one with an 18" bbl, perfect little truck gun for gophers. Thoughts??

I've got a 1517 MPR in .17 and it is very accurate. First group out of it, I bought it used, was under .25" at 50 yards. I've shot many .6" groups at 100 as well. You can't go wrong with an Anschutz, they know rimfires and the 17 is no exception.

$1500 is the most Im interested in spending on a rimfire, anything higher is out of my budget. My only concern is consistent accuracy and a shorter bbl then the standard offering. Im really considering the 14" bbl version as well, dont see many 14" bbl 17 hmr's,

The 14" is wickedly nice! I have a 1417 and its my favorite "lightweight" rimfire.

It looks pretty sweet, how's yours in terms of accuracy and what ammo are you feeding it?

It is amazing and even with subsonics the groups are wickedly small. Think 1/2" at 50 yards with cheaper stuff.
