Antelope with the kids

I had a high priority on non trophy antelope and I figured it would be a great excuse to pull the kids out of school for a few days and do some nice weather hunting. First pasture that we checked out I spotted a herd not to far away. We parked the truck and made a great stock to get into 100yards of the herd. I used my custom 35 whelen and 200gr ttsx at 2850fps. Worked like a charm. Many great meals ahead and very positive hunting experience with my two oldest kids. My son got an ear infection on the way out that morning so he was having a heck of time but he's on the mend now.
Driving home north I learned that a friend had past away while on a hunt in northern bc. Make sure to make time with your kids and family. Life is a very fragile thing. He leaves behind a wife and 3 week old daughter. Rip Dave

Congrats on the trip and getting the kids out of school.
I received the ''Go Fund Me'' request for Dave lastnight as well.

Guy didnt get much time with his little girl and that now strikes a chord with your two kids.
Spend as much time as you can with them, even if it means being a pia at when they are a little older cause one never knows.

Cool Speed Goat too...seemed almost to easy.

RIP Dave and Thanks for sharing,
Rob

Way to go getting the kids out there and congrats on the nice animal!

I heard about Dave over in one of the BC forums. My condolences to all who knew him.
