anti - antibug spray - finish ?????

just about to put the protective layer on my painted stock.... and one thing about the bug spray sticking to the regular finishes came into my mind.

I was about to use Minwax - Helmsman - Spar Urethane - clear satin.

Is it bugspray proof? And if not.... please advize as of what would fit the bill...

i recommend keeping your hands clean,i know what you mean by bugsprays hurting finishes,but do not know what is resistant to it.

it is not my hands I fear to get smeared by the clearcoat/paint..... it is my face

We use alot of bug spray at our Trap and Skeet club, no issues on any factory finish guns I have used except camo.

I think your best bet would be to test it, varnish a piece of wood and let it cure for a week or two and then try some bug spray.
