I'm kicking around the idea of going to Anticosti Island for a deer hunt. There was a 2 year old thread on this with only a few non first-hand comments so figured a new thread might be more appropriate.
Due to work, I'd be going after our rifle season here (mid-November to maybe early December, which is the tail end of their season). I know the deer are smaller but it's a real "pro" to get two tags and a realistic opportunity to fill them. Any thoughts? If anyone had a better idea for a reasonably priced deer hunt (say under 3-4K max. door to door from home in Ontario) I'd be interested. Same time frame would apply and must be with rifle or ML, and outside of Ontario (so I can still rifle and/or ML hunt locally with a tag in my pocket).
