Has anyone here hunted Anticosti Island? If so, which outfitter or outfitters did you use? What was your experience with them, good or bad?
What season did you hunt? What did you think of it?

A buddy and I are considering going there in 2021 assuming the virus problem has disappeared by then. Neither of us has hunted there before and are interested in getting any information that will help us make up our minds.

Thanks in advance.

Jim

I have gone 12 times to Anticosti always with SAFARI ANTICOSTI ..this year they cancelled my trip because of convid 19 ..i will be back in 2021 hopefully ..my personel warning is don't go with SEPAC it is run by the provincial gov don't go for a cheap deal ANTICOSTI hunting is expensive ..my group has tagged out every year but deer hunting is never easy [snow storms heavy winds and rain ] we fly in with NOLINOR from Mirabel qc .we hunt at RIVIER CHALOUPE .if u click on SAFARI ANTICOSTI you will see all the different package deals....

I also used Safari Anticosti’s services but only once, and that was back in 2002. I really enjoyed that trip. Going back one day in on my bucket list. Instead of leaving from Mirabel though, we drove to Mont-Joli and took a plane from there. A friend and I took the European plan and stayed at one of the Bell River cottages. Our budget was tighter back then. I see that this option is still available from the above website, if you are looking for a more cost effective option.

The guide drops you off in your hunting area each morning. Plenty of land at your disposal, no pressure from other hunters nearby. Only silence, peace and quiet... I highly recommend it.
