Antimony price check

I'm going to buy some rotometals super hard 30% antimony 70% lead.

They have a deal for free shipping in the USA if you spend $100 or more.

A 5lb ingot is 22.95 usd exchanged to canadian that would be 25.25.

I can ship to the border with a parcel service fee of $5.50

So 5 ingots will cost me 148.88 including taxes paid at the border.

$5.96 per lb.

Anybody know of a better deal?

I think your 30% antimony content is way too high

unless you have high tin lead to mix with it

I have lots of pure lead and tin, just missing the antimony.

Bulk antimony prices are around $4.50/lbs
Lead is around $1/lbs
Generally retail prices are 2-3x bulk prices (bulk meaning by the tonne).

5lbs at 70/30 means 3.5lbs lead and 1.5lbs antimony
So $3.50 in lead and $6.75 in antimony at bulk prices
$10.25 bulk or ~$20.50 retail
$22.95 seems reasonable based on my totally inaccurate, opinion based math.

Metalex in Richmond b.c sell antimonal lead at 3% 4.5% and 7%. Any one of those water dropped is hard enough for whatever shooting you will do. ww's has a small percentage and can be hardened to 30 bhn.
