Antique firearm made in 1898

[Thiopento]

Hi, can't find this anywhere on the forum but an antique firearm made in 1898, does that still meet Canadian antique guidelines (everything else being legit, caliber and firearm type) ? Cheers-

[dingus]

must be pre 1898

made before dec 31 st 1897.

Afraid not - rules are Pre-1898, so the minute it hit January 1st, 12.00 AM 1898 they became firearms.

Thanks for clarifying!!
