Good luck. I'd be wary of anyone who doesn't have a waiting list... That said, I know one who welded firing pins for me and he has an "urgent repair" rate.

He has done a lot of good work for me, including reproducing metal and wood parts, timing antique revolvers and he has a cnc mill. He did work on a Schnellfeuer for me (mag well crush damage stretched so it could take mags again) so he's familiar with the c96 for your other request. I've never paid his "urgent" rate, just know it exists.
The guy in Nepean you mention (Jason Spencer) is excellent, but he's also too busy like all good smiths.
