There was a thread with much good information in it on the antique Winchester hand press, running here two months, or so ago.

Here is my 30-30 Winchester reloader. For some reason, the prices these bring do not seem to be as high as they should, for a fine Winchester antique. On the other hand, I haven't seen one sold for a long time!

btt....
trying to get the value of this:confused: any ideas?

Without sounding cheeky, it is what it is. If someone NEEDS to have a Winchester hand die to fill a hole in their collection, they will pay you whatever is a fair price. Until then, it is worth whatever you paid for it.

For example, a few years back I traded two rifles for one. In the words of an economist, a fair price hurts both parties equally. I had to hand over one gun that is appreciating in market value and another that will be harder to resell. Both came to me for a lot less than the market value of the one I in return. The other fellow figured he made out like a bandit, but now I have a rifle that I've always wanted.

I have one for my 76 in 45-60 :)
Figured out most of it, except how the primer in knocked out

by the looks of it,i would take a quess and say drift pin of some sort was used to pop out the primer, once the resizing was done, then before the case was taken out the mold the drift pin was used to pop out the primer
but like i said its a guess at it:confused:

I would have guessed the same since there's a hole to slip a drift pin or something in to pop out the primer BUT with something so well made as these things I would have expected something built in to fit it in or secure it.
