Hi, I have a old Mauser that as far as I can tell my great grandfather brought back from ww1, and I would like to find some more info on it. Is there anywhere in the Calgary area that I can take it to find out what caliber it is as well if it is safe to shoot

thankyou

Try Proline Shooters on 9th Avenue in Inglewood. Give 'em a call first.

Of course if you provide some more details here, there will be a whole bunch of folks who will likely be able to answer your first question (calibre).

What's stamped on the old girl's metal parts?

Anything stamped into the wood?

SOMEBODY will take a bash at it..... and about 9 out of 10 will be right to one extent or another.

IMHO, canadiangunnutz is one of the most valuable resources the firearms community has.

But that's just my opinion.....

Does it look like any of these:

Post pics and someone will tell you what you have, what it'll be chambered in, etc etc etc etc.

An overall pic along with any markings will tell all.
