I bought an old revolver online in Ohio. It's a prescribed antique both countrys. But the seller will only mail to a U.S. address. Who would you suggest to use to forward this, and how does it work? (forwarding to Alberta) Thanks for any info,...Bill...

Most every border town in the USA has a "forwarder" whose address you give to the person. You then arrange to go there to pick your item up. For those of us who live close to a border point this is easy. Seller must be a complete nutcase for not shipping an antique. Is he sure it's an antique... and are you?

I have run into this problem as well I don't know if its a law in some of the states but some will only send to a FLL dealer I have also been told that it is not legal for them to ship a firearm in the mail antique or not Leroys told me that for me if the person won't ship via parcel post I just don't bother.

Well its there Postal Regs there Clear as Mud.
its No wonder some Sellers dont want to Mail Antiques Firearms up here.
Have you ever Read the USPS Rules on this?
Theres like 4 Diffrent sections.
Best to stick with Sellers that WILL mail Antiques up here.
I had one guy so Worried he took a MKII Webley and took it all apart and shipped it in Two sepreat Parcels
That was to a Freind inside the USA trying to get that fellow to mail a Antique gun up here to B.C he woulda died on the spot he was such a worry wart.

Oh, yes, +1 for bringing the gun in yourself! You will have a chance to meet in person with the CBSA folks, educate them about the antique firearms laws and the next person crossing the border will owe you a beer.
I did go with Leroys. They are happy to help. It would seem better if it was a better buy. It's a Savage Navy project gun at 400.00 plus fees and shipping and insured and now another handling,shipping and insured. All USD. I better enjoy rebuilding it.
