antlerless elk season?

ive been hearing rumours about an antlerless elk season opening in the peace soon? anyone else hearing this?

Yup, antlerless elk are open right now. But for a lot of the local ranchers, it's too late. Try losing a 150 bales (1600lb round @ $40/ea) to a herd of hungry elk. Especially when it's the greenfeed you were saving to get your freshly calved out cows through until the pastures are greened up. And you can't locate replacement feed caused by a shortage due to the drought last year.
