Seems the aftermarket ones stop around 12" and then start up at 16", has anyone made a 14" bbl..preferably in threaded .750 (its for a SR-22 build)

I suspect you will have already though of these options, but what about either:

a) a Dlask 12.5" with an XB-5 on the end, or a custom muzzle break if you need exactly 14"
b) get Dlask to make one at 14" with their next batch of barrels

...wait..you're building another SR22.. care to share the details?

Hey TEG,

Yep, another SR22 project. Damn things are addictive. So this one is trying to look like a C8 FTHB. Right now, I've got a 12" threaded .750 on there, and it looks more like a M4 CQB.

Top image shows where I'm at, bottom one is a quick photochop of what a 14" bbl would look like (more or less).

I wonder about the longer muzzle brake idea... something like this. At 5.5" it would be too long for my 12" bbl. And my 10.5" bbl would be too short for the FSB. Unless the muzzle brake is .750 dia. Hmmm.

Edit:

While I had PS open, I added some green to the furniture:

A custom made muzzle break to the exact length and profile you need would probably be less expensive than a custom length barrel (I love spending other peoples money). Looks like a great project!

It's a clone C79, but pretty nice. Looks to be 3-4x , weighs about the same too. Only prob is the sight reticle pattern is not the same as the c79. This one is a pointed post with a segmented horizontal bar, and the reticle lines are bit thick.

In fact, it needn't even be a muzzle brake, just a .750 diameter tube with male / female threads at each end.

Thanks to a killer deal from TDC, the .22LR C8 FTHB is taking shape with the 5" bbl extender/flash hider. A much cheaper option than a custom made bbl. Also added the screw on FSB & lower HG rail. On the way: Green furniture. Still to get - forward sling swivel for the FSB. Any know how they are attached? I get that there is a gap and a cross hole, but what keeps the cross pin from sliding out? It's not threaded.

They use a roll pin for side sling mounts.
