A company called Davidsons got two limited runs of 16.25" 1895s produced. The first run was done in '09 and was called the 1895SDT. Just think of a stainless guide gun with laminate stocks and a shorter barrel. The second one, 1895STP, was made in the spring of this year and featured a pistol grip stock and an elongated 5rd mag tube that's flush with the end of the 16.25" barrel.

Just curious if either of these ever made their way up here. I was seriously considering having something like the STP done up by a gunsmith, though I wanted a straight grip and parked steel. Even though both of these models would be pricey I'm sure they'd cost me a lot less than what a gunsmith would charge for a new barrel and extended mag tube.

Failing that I guess I'll have to start the hunt for a beater 1895 to have my own version made.

Thanks for the link. Looks like he brought it in himself. Wicked little rifle though.
