Any 180gr. full house .357 mag reloads?

Something wrong with a reloading manual? I'm not dumping on you, but I find that handgun reloading is not nearly as fussy as rifles cartridges and I have never felt the need to venture outside the lines with a handgun.

H110 and 2400 are often recommended for heavy .44 Mag loads, I would think they are also suitable for heavy .357 loads.

13gr Bluedot 180 gr XTP out of my Marlin 94. I use rifle primers because the Winchester small pistol primers were bursting with this load in this carbine.

I have about four new reloading manuals but I wanted to share with knowledgeable members here and their opinions about heavy hard cast bullets in 357 Mag. Maybe there's something to be learned outside manufacturer's books.
Mind you, sometimes reading about other ones' preferences and experiences is a lot more interesting than pure reloading data, even if I ALWAYS rely on it.
Forums are just made for that.

I shoot them in my Marlin 1894c out to 100 yds. The best I could do was a 5"
group with open sights. I think my gun is capable of better groups, but my eyes are not what they used to be, without having to wear reading glasses to see the front sight. I haven't crony'd them, but I was impressed with these loads.

Oregon Trail also puts out a good manual on there Laser Cast bullets which I bought some yrs ago with good load info....
They list Unique, IMR, H-110, 2400, 296 & some other powders for loading this bullet, but I haven't tried these yet....
For deer or even black bear up close this bullet would have better potential for getting the job done.
I brought these bullets back from Cabella's in Michigan awhile back....:cheers:
 
I guess we're talking about carbine loads not revolver loads here.
Where did you get your LBT style bullets? I like that kind of heavy bullet. Did you try them for length in a revolver? What is the OAL on these?

Yes these loads are recommended for rifles & long barrel single shot pistols, but are safe in revolvers. Ruger single actions would be my preference, but your mileage may vary....

I didn't try em in my S&W for length & don't have any loaded ones to measure, but they didn't seem any longer from the crimp than a SWC, so my guess is they shouldn't be a problem for length in revolvers. My reloading manual states OAL at 1.610 I also might add to give these a good heavy crimp using the magnum powders, to keep these Heavy-for-calibre bullets with the breaks on until overcome by max pressure. I also like heavy crimps when using them in a Lever action magazine.....

These would do everthing a .357 calibre gun is capable of doing in my opinion!

I brought this box back some yrs ago from Michigan while on vacation.
