Been wanting a .308 NR semi auto for a while. Something that takes a mag. Anything left that hasnt been reclassified, or is at risk of being reclassified? Something I can take hunting, or backpacking for some target shooting?

Any of these legal in Canada?

I believe all those are prohibited. Just punch the model into Armalytics.ca and you can search there.
Winchester 100 and Remington 740 are non restricted but older wood stock stuff. I’m actually starting to enjoy the less tactical looking stuff at the moment. Also there are some Beretta 308,s out there but very pricey and heavy compared to the ones you were looking at. Doesn’t take a mag either so not easily unloaded.
Im sure someone will find something for you here that fits what your looking for.

The answer to the question is yes. Look at conventional (ie unchallenging) deer rifles, like the Remington gas auto family. Winchester Model 100 is a semi. Benelli make several nice ones, as well as Browning.

(1) Browning BAR checks all your boxes
(2) So does the Benelli R1
(3) Browning Short Trac Hogstalker — I regret selling mine
(4) ^Same basic rifle as the FN FNAR
(5) FAMAE SG542 Ere Elite
(6) M1 Garand, converted

Not common, but they exist.

what is that? how much does it weigh?

That is the Brugger and Thomet (B+T) Advanced Police Carbine in .308 cal (APC-308 ). The weight is 11.2 lbs (5.1 kg) Bare with ACR Stock, VFG and Magazine, or 15 lbs (6.8 kg) all-up including the Bushnell DMR IIi 3.5-21x 56mm Optic and Atlas Bipod.

My advice when it comes to the bullpup options is to try before you buy if at all possible. I owned a Keltec RFB and sold it because of reliability issues. I also had a Tavor 7, but quickly sold it because I could not group it accurately. It felt to me like it had a very "bouncy" recoil impulse that sent rounds all over the place. YMMV.
