are there any .338 WIN MAG wildcats out there, such that can improve perfomance even marginally,with minimum modification.i was thinking of a roy weatherby blown shoulder and fireforming factory brass,just to get a few more feet from my short gun

if you mean Improving the 338 Win Mag, then I think you could only blow a bit of body taper out and maybe push the shoulder forward a touch, might not handle heavy bullets as well if you shorten the neck up though...
maybe try rebarreling with a longer tube or rechambering to 340 Weatherby
