Any 870 Lovers install the Happy Caps? Work well ?

Okay, I just saw some cute Happy Caps for the 870/Dominion Grizzly/Norc HP9 series of boomsticks.

So I gotta get myself and my son's Winger 870 Bear Spray (of the lead kind) one of these babies for the LCV (look cool value). I saw that at www.dstactical.com one of our CGNutz Board sponsors.

I got one. Works on my HP9 and my 870. Index's properly on the HP9, however, the smile is a little crooked on the 870.

Hey Barney, I have one too on an 870. I bought it from another member, I forget who, but this one indexed perfectly tight just right. And not only on one gun either, it fit perfect on two others I tried. So it's not a difference in mag tubes, but the cap itself. Unless it was an extreme fluke.

When I bought it I also wondered if it was going to index or not. I really didn't care as I basically wanted to see it's quality and how Joe devised it on his machine.

Expect the least and you may be surprised when it arrives I guess.

Mine lines up prefectly, but I have read others not enjoying the same fit. That said, they are aluminum, and it wouldn't take much to make them fit, either a shim or a shave with some sandpaper. For 10$s and a few minutes of your time even if you have to fit them, I figure they are a good deal.
