As the title says ,is there a manualy operated 9mm rifle other than the spanish
Destroyer carbine. I am looking for a compact rifle with magazine fed action? Affordable meaning sub $1000 !

The new gun grab take away almost all 9mm rifles....

Not really. Was an Armscor TCM rifle, can be converted to 9mm. But never seen it done here. But base rifle is over 700 CAD.

There is a Lever 9mm that is over 2k.

You probably have to take one of those MapleRidge Arms straightpull rifles and make it 9mm.

Yeah I have a maple ridge action I wanted to use with AR-15 parts in 5,56mm! I would have to buy a new 99 bolt and barrel to make the conversion , what other parts would I need? I am not AR savy...

I have been seeking a bolt action, magfed, 9mm carbine for some time.

Seems like it would be great niche, especially here in canada now.

Maybe someone will do it.

But nothing reasonable out there that I can find so far.

The AR type 9mm carbines are blowback. .223 are locked breech. The manually operated .223 carbines are locked breech. 9mm blowback parts would be no go.

Super heavy recoil spring.

But couldnt you open up a bolt head for 9mm case and use the barrel extention with a 9mm barrel.

You can get mag adapters that run Glock mags, or ones that use uzi/colt/lar mags. They just get inserted like a magazine. Some have a lock that keeps it in. So the orginal mag release works.
Mean Arms also makes 9mm conversion kits for standard 5.56 AR mags and dedicated 9mm mags that work in a standard AR lower. Any of the double feed mags should be nicer to use than Glock mags.

Yes, this should work fine. You barely have to open the bolt face for 9mm, it is only 0.013" larger than .223/5.56 and the 5.56 extractor and ejector should work as-is. I've thought about doing this with a Troy PAR, but haven't got excited enough to spend the $1500 for the rifle, plus all the other bits.

Marstar is bringing in the Stowaway Rifle from Dark Mountain Arms. Currently only in 5.7x28, but apparently the 9mm version is coming. There is already a NR FRT for the 5" barrelled 9mm & 5.7x28 version. It's a single shot though. Price is not bad at $599.

When I had my 9mm AR, the only mag option was colt, uzi or LAR15.

Mean arms would need to be pinned, while Glock and LAR do not. Unless you run uzi mags.

Yeah, Mean Arms is a relatively recent option. You are correct, all the rifle mags are limited to 5. The LAR AR9/Colt SMG mags would probably be my choice, since they are still double feed and much easier to load than Glock mags.

I wouldn't be surprised if you could fit the Mean Arms conversion to LAR 5.56 mags for 10 round capacity that way.

Here is a decent video on mags for AR based PCC's:

I broke the link because it refused to load properly.

9mm AR bolts won't fit the straight pull modular rifles because there is no channel inside the top of the receiver for the AR charge handle/gas key.

Sorry not educated on straight pull recievers. Assumed they were like regular ARs. Till I researched more, and found they didnt use AR carriers.

But yeah the OP looking at something custom.
