Any battle born grease users?

I find a lot of people get hung up on lubes/greases/oils for various sports, be it firearms, cycling, etc. There are merits in certain applications and/or competition.

In the case of common use on firearms (esp battle rifles), automotive and marine grade greases are often more than sufficient.
