Any Bear hunters going out this spring?

I'm planning on it. Going stir-crazy so far this winter. Haven't shot anything (besides holes in paper) since I shot some ducks in early December (at -40, no less). I am trying to get a couple more people interested in it, but so far, no commitment.

Thinking I might give it a try this year. Don't know if I'm going to have time. That and it'll be my second animal to hunt, so we'll see how she goes :D

Two animals??? My wife would love if I hunted only two animals.....lol. You will get hooked and be like me - hunt from spring to winter, with about three months to re-arm, re-supply, and shoot paper for the next year.

It never ends.

I'm lucky - the deer was a resounding success and I tanned that hide, so it was win win win.

Now if I get a bear that means delicious sausage and a bear skin rug/blanket.... The missus may even accompany me on the expedition:D:D

Anyone on the island/lower mainland/sea to sky corridor who's looking for a partner?

I got the first week of the season off but being new to Alberta im not 100% sure were im gona go. Thinking area 344 seeing how its close to the Rockies. Worst case ill do some scouting and figure something better for the fall or next year.

Spring bear is my number one season:D

I usually take two sometimes three weeks off to chase bears...

I hunt in the fall to kill the time until spring bear:p

I love to bear hunt!

Unless you are hunting one of the southern zones, I wouldn't be in a hurry to get out there for season opener.

Here in BC the limited entry draw for spring grizzly is tomorrow Feb 24 and the results are supposed to be available on line Feb 25...

If either my son or I get drawn we're going bear hunting the last week of May thru the first week of June... :D

I'll get out a few times. I still haven't been able to harvest a bear, but have come close a couple of times. It's just nice to get out in the spring after a long winter and get some fresh air and enjoy the surroundings. Shooting a bear would be a bonus, but not a requirement for me to enjoy getting out.
