Any clubs throwing Chinese targets?

We are about due for a truckload of targets soon and I see clays selling on Alibaba for 10 cents a piece plus 78 cents a tonne for shipping. Being in northern BC, White Flyers or Lawrys can get expensive with the shipping and there is a container port in Prince Rupert about 4 hours away. We're throwing White Flyers now with no real reason to change unless we can get a smoking deal. Just wondering about alternatives.

Sorta thinking good!

Not many North American target companies left get some competition going for our Biz again.

Bigger issue then breakage would be them not breaking when hit lol.

For the life of me I can't remember who I was talking to on the weekend, but they told me that some club in the area bought a truckload of targets from Italy. Worked out to about $2 a case savings even after shipping.

Targets designed for international shipping and rough handling at a dozen ports and warehouses before delivery would undoubtedly mean a heavier harder to break product.

Are these overseas targets packed differently in the boxes, packed tighter, etc ?

Home Hardware sells boxes of Lawry's for $32.99 (~$0.25 a target). My local store doesn't stock them but, they will ship them to the store for free. They let you inspect the clays before accepting the delivery. Out of 12 boxes (>1600 clays) I've got from them, there has only been about a total of 10 broken clays.

Thanks for posting this. Put my order in for a case, we will see how they do on the shipping. And handling.

Could it have been Eurotarget ? I have shot a lot of them and they show no signs of damage after being shipped from Italy.

Stick with Canadian made target…there is a limit to seek el chipo target…it’s already not expensive at all. I do not believe one iota your .78 c a tonne for shipping…
We use Lawrys with no intention to change…

Hey Mr. Storm.

Do you know how many targets can be loaded into a C-can? Approximately ;)

Thanks.
Lawry's quote was for 22 pallets at 72 cases per pallet in a CP Intermodal container. Corsiva from Spain quoted 24 pallets at 65 cases to the pallet in a 40' sea can. Still waiting to hear from Eurotarget.

Janeau: As for the shipping rate of .78/tonne. That's what they told me and I have no way of checking one way or the other. Apparently you know more about it than I do. Please enlighten me? What is the correct shipping rate from Shanghai to Vancouver.
