thinking that somewher in Canada might be something cool ?

if you see or know of anything, take a photo an post up , i dont have big budget for something crazy but just a standard sorta hunting cap / blaze etc would be cool. work out shippping an a ###### payment etc!?

even a local hunting club cap or something like that?

thanks alot!

Kryptek has some orange/camo type patterns that look OK, called inferno pattern.
Hats, beanies, neck gaiters and such.
Doing a little bit of a search it seems Amazon.com has more of a selection online than Krytek.com itself.
I have this Kryptek hat, it doesn't have a mesh back end so it is more of a colder weather type hat.

Harkila from Denmark sells a very tough looking hunting cap, the "Seeland Helt Waterproof Multi Cap" that is convertible from dark green to blaze orange by flipping back the top, also has fold down ear flaps. It's membrane lined and waterproof, always struck me as the perfect bit of versatile hunting head gear. Very hard to find in Canada though, ask Bushcraft Canada which seems to be the only possibility here. And if found it will be around $120, so maybe not what is wanted by the OP.

Cap goes from this

Reading the Ontario hunting regs, I noticed that cryptic blaze orange patterns are not acceptable to the powers that be, must be solid orange. Beware if you encounter a cranky enforcement person while hunting.

Old school at my place is a red band around the crown of a felt cowboy hat.

I do that, but a blaze orange band around what is more of a felt fedora. Harkila Seeland aside, there's a lot to be said for a broad brim hat design- as long as you aren't pushing through a lot of dense brush. And you need a wind cord.

60 years ago my dad used to have those colour changing hats, most men's stores sold them.
But they don't make men like they used to either.

Can't post a picture from my current location, thay are called Jones hunting hat. Probably the name comes from Jones Tent & Awning, made mens work and rain clothes too. Also Pioneer tents and Trapper Nelson packs.

But I'm old but still have some of my memory. ish . a bit . I think. what were we talking about?

Nope I was wrong made by Jones Hat Company of St Joseph, Missouri established in 1881.

Go figure, ;)

Jones hunting hat. Pull the side over to switch from green to orange. We wore these when we were kids and bought them at the 5 and dime store.
Ours were olive green/orange not camo.
