I'm thinking with some gun types unsold at time of freeze, some parts kits may be offered. I could use a tokarev tt33 kit and maybe a Beretta 1951.

Anyone got any intel whether kits are being offered yet anywhere?

I think Claven is hoping that some of those pistols that dealers wound up with after the freeze will be broken down and sold off as parts.

Some of them won't be able to be exported to the USA.

Except that irunguns will end up charging you the full MSRP cost of the gun, the labour to break it down, etc.

I'm going through this process with IRunGuns on the next export, so I'll let you know how it turns out. While you are charged the price of the complete gun, there is no (at this point) additional cost for the labour to break it down. You're essentially buying the full gun like normal, but only receiving the non-registered parts.

I didn't have much luck finding the spare parts I wanted in Canada, and at the end of the day, it worked out cheaper for me to get the parts through IRunGun's service --- bonus is that they're guaranteed to be OEM.

I'm not saying it's a bad deal at all, but i was hoping there would be surplus tokarev or breretta M1951 kits here in Canada.

CFC just sent out a warning letter to Business License holders regarding the illegal 3D printing of "ghost" guns and to report suspicious purchases of parts that could be used to assemble 3D printed guns.

My bet is there will be some serious investigation of anyone selling parts kits, and of anyone looking to buy parts kits.

The gun control horse has bolted but that won't stop an authoritarian federal govt from trying to close the barn door.

Until the feds make selling parts illegal (which is likely coming to solve a non-problem, if the turd remains predictable), no retailer in Canada is going to support an RPAL holder that buys parts.

guns break. parts are needed to fix guns. duh!
