Looking at getting a classic .22 P220, is there any difference on the lower?

Any classic .22 (220/226) out there?

The super search engine let me down again...
Cheers

Assuming you meant difference between rimfire and centerfire lowers:

Had a 226 Classic 22, and Sig says it is exactly the same frame as the 226 centerfire. The only markings to distinguish the Classic 22 from the other 226s were on the slide and barrel. Just drop in a slide, barrel, and magazine, and you're good to go. Never tried it myself, but that's the selling feature of the Classic 22 line for me. I would assume that the 220 is the same. But I'm sure a 220 owner will chime in...

The factory P226 9mm top end (slide and barrel) can be directly placed on the receiver (lower) of a Classic in .22LR. Also the .22LR slide and barrel can be directly used on a P226 lower that comes from the factory as 9mm.

I've personally confirmed that no modifications are required. Complete functionality both ways.

Ok, thanks. I am more worried about the internals, same level of quality?
