Any different between .45ACp and Auto?

hope this helps

The .45 GAP has the same diameter as the .45 ACP pistol cartridge, but is slightly shorter, and uses a small-pistol primer instead of the large-pistol primer most commonly used in .45 ACP ammunition

The full-size Glock 37 pistol was introduced by Glock to use the .45 GAP cartridge and was followed by the compact Glock 38 and the subcompact Glock 39

Hmmm. The slang for 45 ACP (Automatic Colt Pistol) has already been pointed out.,
However...there was such a thing as a 45 Auto Rim. Which was designed to be used in the M1917 S&W and Colt 45 ACP revolvers. In order to fire the 45 ACP cartridge in the revolver and steel "Half-Moon" clip was used which held three rounds. The 45 A.R. eliminated the need for the steel clips and coulbe used and fired as is.
Look it up on Wikipedia, there is actually a page about this round.
Cheers
