Any East German SKS around?

A few, but they are in the hands of people who know what they are. You could put a WTB ad on the EE, but don't hold your breath.

They're very rare. They were mostly exported to Croatia IIRC, after the fall of the Berlin Wall.

I'm sure there are a few here, but as RMXC51 said, those who have them know what they are. If I had one, I wouldn't sell it, or shoot it.

Vietnamese, North Korean and East German SKS' are some of the rarest ones around.

I very highly doubt any of the SKS rifles you saw in The Debt were actual East German Karabiner-S rifles. It's sad, I'd love to have one.

I've heard tell of one in my neck of the woods, and that was second hand news. They're more plentiful south of the border apparently, lucky Yanks.:D

Are they really? I always thought East German anything was more rare. I know East German Makarovs are slightly harder to find in the US. I've also heard that they're some of the best Makarovs you can buy.

Ze mastah race kraftmannship and all that.

Rare SKS and you don't mention the Albanian?

Ya, I frequent various websites and the EG SKS's seem to be found easier down south, they even have stickies on 'em on their forum. I guess it has to do with population numbers. Cheers.
