I've heard tell of one in my neck of the woods, and that was second hand news. They're more plentiful south of the border apparently, lucky Yanks.![]()
They're very rare. They were mostly exported to Croatia IIRC, after the fall of the Berlin Wall.
I'm sure there are a few here, but as RMXC51 said, those who have them know what they are. If I had one, I wouldn't sell it, or shoot it.
Vietnamese, North Korean and East German SKS' are some of the rarest ones around.
I very highly doubt any of the SKS rifles you saw in The Debt were actual East German Karabiner-S rifles. It's sad, I'd love to have one.
