Anschutz 1712 Silhouette Sporter

Looking to at least shoulder one of these before I drop the cash on one. Have a match 54 already that I love but might get into silhouette shooting, or at least have a fantastically accurate and precise gopher hole puncher.

Is there an Alberta silhouette club with rules and regs? I have a CHAS membership but when I have been to the range it dose not look like there is an area to shoot silhouettes.

Did you find someone that had one to check the feel. Or just decided to buy one ? I might just buy one, I know I will like it..... Anyone have a 1710 with Monte Carlo stock ? Apparently those feel similar aside from being a little heavier.
 
I just winged it. I started a thread a while ago asking if anyone has one and one fellow posted a picture and mentioned that after he handled this model he sold his 1710.

I got the same responses over at rimfirecentral. Most sold their 1710 too after handle the 1712. Said the 2 stage trigger was unreal. I am pupped :D
 
I am thinking I might just take the plunge and get one as well. There is not an Anschutz we have that I don't like to shoot.

I hope Peter still has one left by the time my tax rebate comes in.

I saw your post on rimfirecentral and here as well that what intially peaked my interested. I think the guys that have them just don't want to share because they like em to much..

Let me know how nice it is once you get it, and if you hate it Ill buy it from you used haha..
