Hey folks,

Been really looking at the Kel-Tec RDB-S lately, as the idea of an NR bush PDW fascinates me. I've had good experiences with the RDB but I'm concerned about the barrel, which is about as thin as my patience during rush hour. Anyone have any range experience with one?

What exactly is your concern? Are you worried the barrel isn't durable enough and may bend if abused? Are you concerned with accuracy? If it's an "NR Bush PDW" then accuracy shouldn't be much concern. Depending on how hardcore you are, neither should the barrel weight.

I had one for a brief time. Did some searching without much luck, can't confirm this because I had nothing else to compare it to, but it seems like the Canadian spec survival model has a standard/heavier barrel than the US model. Mine measured 0.560" in front of the gas block, from what I could find online the standard RDB measures the same. Looking at pics of the US RDB-s it certainly seems like it has a much more pronounced step up to the muzzle than my Canadian version did.

My rdb s was awesome, accurate with the iron sites out to 200 easily, the stock was awkward looking and feeling but it grows on you quickly and is very comfortable to shoulder and shoot.

Thanks, that's good to know. Makes me curious what the actual weight of the Can version is.

POI shift due to temp changes mostly. Having a 3 MOA rifle doesn't concern me, but it would be nice to have a little consistency so I don't end up shooting 4 inches low at 100 when I'm trying to dust a coyote.

I love mine. Take it everywhere for predator control. My 12yr old daughter used it a few weeks ago to shoot her first deer. 100yds with the factory flip up sights. Heart shot. Wish my eyes were still that good. I like being able to turn the gas right off so it is a single shot repeater for her, but a pretty stiff bolt pull.
