Any good deals on 7.62x39?

It's all going to be a "good deal" in the future. We shot up gazillions of rounds of 30-06 and .303, so the same will likely happen to all the 7.62x39 and 54R. Our only hope for cheap shooting is that the Chinese see fit to keep making shiploads for us crazy North Americans.

Trust me, I watched the supply of "cheap ammo" dwindle to the point where now people get all excited if they find a box of old .303 surplus at a gun show. I often buy a case or two of surplus whatever and stack it up. An old friend of mine says, "It's good to have lots of ammunition. You never know when there might be an attack." Good policy to follow.

I often jokingly say that I have enough ammo to hold off the Chinese army for three months of heavy fighting. :p

Sounds like you are running low. Time to stock up.

Yes. I get nervous twitches when I drop below at least a good six months. Some of the nicest ammo I've bought lately is the 7.62x51/.308 Chinese stuff from Frontier. Deaner and I smoked a few rounds out of an Israeli 98. Accurate and not shoulder breaking recoil.

Unlike 303 and 3006 which are obsolete military wise, 7.62x39 and x54 is still being used by lots of armies of the world. If one country stops production, the other starts making one or both of these calibers. So its really non issue, we will have surpluss untill phazers and photone torpedoes will be the weapon of choice. After that 7.62x39 rifles will push out flint lock and become antique piece of equipment even ak47:)

I wish a guy could get a screaming deal and buy ten to thirty crates. Ten being private and thirty being a group purchase. Anyone know how to set that up? Still kicking myself for only buying 5 when they were 179.00 a crate for Czech.

*edit* - forgot what forum I was in. Not milsurp but still a good deal.
249 for 1000 non corrosive HP's from Canada ammo with free shipping.

Contact Marstar, I believe their cheaper prices kick in for 25+ cases.

You do need a warehouse type loading ramp for the freight company to drop it off at.
