Long story short is that I got a stock 10/22 and started replacing parts on it and now all I need is a receiver to make a whole new 10/22 , any dealers you guys know of that stock them ?
Cheers, Green
EE, dlask, questar, wanstalls.
I agree, spend the extra coin and get a cnc receiver. Much better quality!
I have a CH22 receiver and love it. To bad you didnt ask a week ago. I just sold my stock receiver.
i think that CH22 with the AR type charging handle looks cool.... id like to build something around that, but all the stock kits enclose the receiver.... ;-(
Yes all the AR15 or maruader type stocks will not work with the ch22 receiver unless you do some cutting/modding.
I asked that very question on rimfire central with no response.
I didnt like the added weight anyway. From what I know most AR 22 builds are 6-7lbs loaded without a steel bull barrel.
You can 1.5+lbs if you swap the barrels. Going with a tactsol or mag research barrel helps lose weight.
I have a axiom stock which is 1.2lbs. The tactical solutions barrel is 15oz and the CH22 is the same weight as the ruger receiver.
My 10/22 with all this stuff and a trs-25 is 3.7 lbs loaded w/ 25 round mag.
Not everyones cup of tea!
Thanks guys I tried the EE and there was not a whole lot there , I was kind of looking for one on the cheap .....I have invested alot upgrading the original .
Welcome to the honda civic of 22s. I bet half of all 10/22 owners who upgrade their guns, spend upwards of 1k+ including the cost of the original gun. However most wont admit to it!
If you track the asking price on upgraded 10/22. Youll be shocked.
I have spent just under $950 on my gun but I sold the receiver, bolt, stock for $240 which puts me under $750
