Any idea where to get a replacement magazine for a BRNO Model 5 bolt action .22LR?

I have an old Model 5 that seems to be having problems with the magazine spring. I'm noticing that it doesn't seem to push the next round up enough to cycle it all the time. I've tried tapping it on a table a bit but it doesn't seem to help. I can still get it to cycle but I think I would like to replace it.

Only problem is this rifle was made in 1958. Is there a way I can buy a replacement magazine for this gun here in Southern Ontario? I hear that CZ has some kind of modern plastic magazines that might fit these but I haven't a clue where to go to buy one of those.

Where would you start to fix this?

Does your magazine come apart? There should be a little push dot that will allow the bottom to come off to take the spring out for cleaning or it just slides off with a little force.
Probably a build up of bullet lube over the years is causing some drag.
Failing that, spray some lighter fluid in and blow everything out with air and repeat.

One of the sponsors at the top of the page should have both plastic and metal mags.

^this. It would take allot to kill a magazine spring. I have to believe it's possible, but it's never happened to me in almost 30 years of rimfire shooting. I have had to open-up/clean out mags that were getting sticky. Easy job for the most part.

I believe the CZ 452 mags work. I know I have used BRNO mags in a CZ 452 and vise versa but not sure what model the BRNO was.

I have a BRNO 2E and a CZ 452, the mags are 100% interchangeable between the two rifles. I've never held/owned/shot a BRNO 5, but regardless...I'd never chuck a magazine unless I cleaned it, lightly lubed it, and re-tested

My BRNO Model 4 happily accepts modern CZ made magazines. You can still purchase the metal type ones which are the exact same as the older BRNO mags, the modern polymer ones also fit and seem to be very durable.
You'll find these mags for sale at several banner sponsors of this website, Wolverine seems to have them in stock.

I have no idea where the original post lives but Wanstall has them listed:

https://www.wanstallsonline.com/firearms-accessories-56/magazines.html both 5, 10 and metal.
From by previous purchases the price is fair.

After going through the 22 rimfire for WTS it was right under our noses:

Keeping in mind the post was started by a newbee I will try to contact him further:

Message sent but unfortunately newbie members tend to not be familiar with navigating the site and we may never hear from him again!

Here are some pictures of the magazine in question. It does seem that it might be gummed up a bit...but no obvious way to open it. What do you think?

Also do you think this would work as a replacement? I do like the idea of having 10 rounds in my magazine instead of 5...

And to clean it I would be using something like this (lighter fluid): https://www.amazon.ca/Zippo-12FC-Lighter-Fluid-12OZ/dp/B077SLP54X/

Could I use this instead?: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B01C726DFE/

any solvent, including soap and hot water will help in the cleaning.
All 452/455 mags will fit all the BRNO line up. It is part of the BRNO/CZ charm. Until very recently, mags fit rifles back to the 1940's.
I would clean it for sure and get another ... 2 mags are good to have.

I have a norinco JW15 in stock and those mags fit a CZ I tried it in fine at last gunshow I did .
those a Chinese steal of the Bruno gun.
